this has nothing to do with weed, plz read
back when i was in second grade (i think) i was dragged across the floor of the school by my councelor for about 10 feet causing severe rugburn to the extent that i couldnt be seated without pain for weeks until it had fully healed.heres how it went down: i was waiting after school for my babysitter and she (my councelor) was watching me. my baby sitter arrived and i was walking over to her, but then the my councelor grabbed me by the back of the shirt and dragged me across the carpet causing me pain and suffering for the next few weeks. i was wondering, is there a staute of limitations on pain and suffering? i want to sue the shit out of the school for letting her do that to me. i was little and didnt know that i could sue people then

Are you a legal adult now, MastaChronic? How many years has that been since you were treated in that manner?
I think statutes of limitation on injury to a child may vary slightly depending on where you are, and it would be longshot no matter what. To file a complaint/take plaintiff's action now would require that you have documentation, pictures, medical records, witnesses, witness testimony, and probably experts. All that's just to make a case, assuming you're still within your state's statutory limit. And you would have to have money, lots of it, to get an attorney to pursue that case. Once it was over, assuming you could even get anywhere in the first place with such an action, I suspect you'd end up feeling as if you'd been dragged yet again on your ass in a painful way by a new set of people.
Would it be possible to take the time and energy and money you might have directed toward that effort and use it to get some constructive help in addressing any lingering issues you have now as a result of that appalling treatment you received as a young child? That might be the more therapeutic route. Don't get me wrong. A creature who treats a child like that ought to be sued and sued painfully. And dragged on her ass by others. And never allowed near children again. But the time to redress such abuse is soon after it happens, not years later.\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

yes, i completely understand that. but better late than never, right? the police took pictures, my babysitter was a witness, i went to the doctor for antibiotics because it got infected and i am not a legal adult yet, im only 16. thanks birdgirl. im going to talk to a lawyer sometime in the next week and check if i can still sue the school and then use part of the money for any therapy that i might need. i havent thought about this in years, sort of a repressed memory that i uncovered today. but i believe that it has subconciously affected me to the extent where i hate school, schoolteachers, councelors, and councelor like people, causing me to behave the way i do in school now, i should say used to. i was expelled in april because i made a "highly sophisticated psychotic death threat" to an english teacher who, i felt, was targeting me and that i subconciously attached the likeness of said councelor to her. i basically just gave myself a psych evaluation w/o realizing it, wow

Did they dump that criminal who was hurting kids based on that other lawsuit? I hope she's far, far away from children.
I'm glad you're going to talk to an attorney. I think that's worth doing. You'll probably feel somewhat better than you do now just pursuing it in any direction, even if it's for a limited time. I hope you can get some vindication about of that. I truly do. That is a tremendously painful and awful thing to have happened to an innocent little boy, and it makes perfect sense that it has colored your angry attitudes toward school, teachers, counselors, etc. Sounds like you have a fairly perceptive start on how that event may have already affected you. I'm so sorry that happened to you, MastaC.
Good luck working through it and with whatever your attorney advises!\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

I'll tell ya, sometimes teachers can be crappy. When I was in second grade, I guess I wouldn't sit down or something cuz the teacher, Mrs. Denby took off her scarf and tied me down to my chair.I'm waaaaaay older then you and I still remember it now and again. I'd love the idea of suing her but she's prolly either dead or in a nursing home by now.
Do it! Sue her in the name of all of us kids that were abused!!!
