There isnt a 100% THC transfer rate, as the bud is still phycoactive after its been vaped.

Joints have the highest THC transfer rate, beating bongs and pipes

And the small hole is so you can suck the smoke through, like a bong.

Just wondering LIP, where'd you learn this? I don't doubt it, I'm just curious. It makes sense, as your not destroying as much THC with an open flame.. as you would be with a pipe(I have a friend who is WAY to anal about how much long you hold the lighter to the bowl ), but I'd be interested to find out more.

And this is just my findings, it could be different for others... but it takes me so, so much less with a vape to get to the level I want, although I'd rather a joint over a vape anyday, As it's so much more convenient, not to mention chill as hell..
