Help! My dro won't burn :)
Why do people believed freshly picked bud is the best?
big smoke07 Reviewed by big smoke07 on . Help! My dro won't burn :) I just picked up 2 grams of the greenist, most beatuiful and glorious piece of greenery I have ever layed eyes on. I was told that it was picked yesterday. It's so sticky it's hard to break up and it's wreaks so greatly. The only problem is, it won't burn. At all it seems. I have tried out of the bong and my glass pipe. What should I do? Thanks. :rasta: Rating: 5

Strong light breaks down THC. Leave it in a dry, shaded place, not in the sunlight.

Don't put it in the microwave.
Set a piece of paper on top of your monitor and put the wet weed on that. Give it a few hours and the heat off the monitor should dry out your buds a lot. Or just leave it sitting out overnight. It works.
I did this (the monitor thing) last week when I bought a bag of freshly picked weed that was pretty wet. Don't worry... I knew what I was getting cause my dealer told me he added a couple extra grams (for free) to my 1/8 because the weed was wet. And he was right on cause I weighed it. But I'll be damned once I got that shit dried out, it was an incredible smoke.

best way to dry fresh bud is a dark, cool area (do not dry in sunlight) with some air movement but not necessary...i usually hang dry in a closet. if you're curing, let the bud dry until the outter surface feels dry but the stems and inner are still moist and pliable...usually only takes 2-5 days, depending on ambient humidity. once partially dried, place in a sealable jar (for small amounts) and close the lid, opening 2-3 times/day for 15-30 minutes. do this until fully 'dry' (it shouldn't ever get toasty dry) then store in your sealed jar in a cool and dark place (i use the bottom shelf of the fridge) and it'll stay fresh for many months...usable for years.

You want a low heat to dry it. I had a lamp that the shade would just fit an aluminum pie pan. I'd set my green bud on the pie tin, turn on the light and flip the bud a few times. Worked fine, but it was slow. Now that I have a vaporizer, I just pop the wet bud into it. The first hit or two tastes "green" but it's OK after that. It's nice to have an early taste from my plants, now and then.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I have an ounce of decent midgrade to get me by so I can wait until it dries naturally.
Just an FYI: I paid very little for this and considered it a good deal. Great weed can be difficult to find so I had to jump on it when I could.
And thanks for the tip about the weight and it drying out. Luckily, he didn't weigh it up or sale it by weight.
