Wishville Reviewed by Wishville on 10-01-2006. Bone carving Ok before anyone bitches about using the search feature, I already tried it and it didn't come up with anything helpful. I would like to try carving a pipe out of bone, but am not even sure of where I can get the supplies. I just checked hobby lobbies website but didn't see anything about bone carving. I may try wood first since it would be much easier to find, cheaper, and probably easier. The thing is I really want a bone pipe that is simply one of the few things I will not buy. Go to a butcher, Im sure he can supply the proper sized bone. Then all you would need is a woodworker's table thing with clamps and a belt sander and a chisel and hammer to carve the bowl. Making the hole from the mouthpeice to the bowl might be a lil tricky, probably can find a drillbit that will do the job though. Try to find somebody with a lot of tools is basically what I'm saying, like a carpenter or something. This should be pretty do-able with a little searching around.

OK, Iâ??m thinking this may not be as feasible as I originally thought. When someone suggests the help of a carpenter, it makes me think it might be a little hard to get all that in place. Not to mention I would have to sanitize the bone somehow. Iâ??m not a clean person, so I wouldnâ??t trust anything Iâ??m supposed to sanitize. I just donâ??t think Iâ??m motivated for all that, not to mention I would probably do something to fuck it up. It would be a great conversation piece though. Anyway thanks for the carpenter advice.

bones are plentiful inthe wilderness jsut go and find one when you go camping or something. then carve out a bowl, drill down a little with a small bit, then drill longways and intersect with the hole coming down from the bowl
