Doctor not receptive in Colorado
Hello. I've had chronic muscle spasms with associated pain in my neck and upper back since 1999, and I've tried many things to alleviate them all with varying results. Have seen a neck expert, both back in 1999 and just a week ago when I suffered a work related neck injury (great, right...)
So anyway, I mentioned to my primary caregiver that I had been smoking a bit and that it was helping a lot with the stingers I've been getting in my hands since the injury, and it has helped a lot with the spasming and pain I have in my neck and upper back.
I didn't get the best feeling back from my primary caregiver regarding my theraputic choice.
I am willing to go the registration route here in Colorado, is there a right way to address this with a physician or is there a resource for finding doctors that are on our side so to speak? It's not like I just started having my chronic symptoms, but I have found a better way to deal with them than using Soma and Percocet and feeling like a zombie...
I mean, if all goes well in a couple of months if prop 44 passes it'll be legal to possess an ounce or less in the entire state, but being able to produce enough to maintain would be optimal.

It seems that most regular physicians are very resistant to writing a referral.

In Colorado, there are now regular clinics on tuesdays where dr.s review the medical records and make recommendations as necessary. I understand it is an appoinment ONLY basis.

Some of the big corporate dr. groups refuse to allow their physicians to sign recommendations, so this has become a viable alternative. Good Luck//Timothy(aka COmidnightrider46)

Well, guess where I was this morning for my appointment, the experience was quite professional and the information was amazing.
I have my paperwork completed now and am mailing it certified tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone for their help.

Wow, the state of Colorado delivered my card today via usps. I mailed my completed paperwork to the state on Wednesday and the card arrived today.
I guess that's the kind of efficiency that you get from a state organization that is entirely funded by it's users, i.e., no tax dollars go to fund this program, hence the 110.00 fee...
OK, now the real question:
How the heck do you carry this thing around with you? It's about 8" wide and 4" tall. It has obvious places where you should fold it, and it does fit in my wallet folded (barely).
Well, now it's time to do some shopping for seeds and to get a buddy over to build me a small closet in the garage, as I'm layed up with a back injury right now, so I can't do any building...I can certainly do some germination and some watering and lighting, feeding, etc...
Thanks again to everyone for their help!~herbaltivo
