Also take into account that joints smoke alot when your not actually hitting them therefore they let off alot of smoke that coudl be inhaled. When vaping you lose nothing, therefore the amount is probably very similar, maybe even more for vapes depending on how much smoke you lose.
That's a problem for alot of joint rollers, but my joints dont smoke inbetween hits, you just gotta be able to roll them well enough that they dont burn and smoke while your not hitting them, but not so they go out. That's how i can get a joint to last 45 minutes.
