Experiences with InsideSun.com
I have a friend (who doesn't grow cannabis) that just ordered a HPS light, Bat Guano and Cocotek Slabs from InsideSun. He placed his order on Friday, right after placing his order he emailed them about a tracking number and how it was being shipped, via UPS, Fedex, etc. He got a email reply very quickly from 'Mike' at InsideSun, saying that the package would be shipped on Monday via DHL and would have a tracking number for him Monday Evening.
Monday Evening came, he got an email saying that they were out of Cocotek Slabs and that he would be refunded the money for them...No Tracking Number.
Emailed back about tracking number and asked if there would be a delay because of the Cocotek Slabs, Mike replied back saying there would be no delay and that it would be shipped Wednesday and arrive Friday.
Emailed back about the no tracking number and asked what happened to it being shipped on Monday. Got no answer for 2 days, but before he was replying within a couple hours.
Then emailed back saying he didn't guess he would ever get a tracking number and just hoping his word was good about receiving it on Friday. Got emailed back saying that the reflectors wouldn't be comming in until Thursday, and asked for his full name and address for a 'ETA'.
Thought I would post this up for him and see if anybody else has had these kinda dealings with InsideSun. And if so what was the outcome of it all, I checked the BBB and they don't have a good track record. 17 complaints within the past 36 months. 8 of them being the BBB couldn't locate the company for refunds. 14 being delievery issues.

LOL InsideSun is one weird 'company'. I think it's just one guy working out of his house.
DHL sucks. I have NO idea why he uses them.
Their 'econo' reconditioned ballasts are functional but suck.
Their house brand ballasts are fine but don't have detachable power cords (which I would consider standard) and there is an issue with how the whole thing is grounded. But they are cheaper than dirt so I have bought a couple anyway, and have to admit they have been perfectly serviceable for my needs.
I've also had an issue with stuff being on backorder.
It's just a messed up company but you get what you pay for and I'm cheap, so eh. My review is neutral.

DHL dont actually suck. I know people who work for them and they are a VERY good delivery company, even though they're German.

Well my friend received his package today, Oct. 02. He said he sees why they call it 'refurbished' ballast was pretty banged up, holes punched through and beat up looking. But like StinkyAttic said you get what you pay for. By the way the chains and hooks upgrade is a joke. Definitely not worth the $12.50. But another shitty thing when he did finally receive his tracking number on the 29th. He replied back saying thank you and asking if all of his order was in this package. (a good question because it was looking like it wasn't going to be) and never got a reply back, and what do you know the Bat Guano he ordered wasn't in there and it doesn't appear that Mike is going to make any effort in getting it to him. Now all thats left to do is plug it in and see if it works!
Oh and by the way, Stinky he had no problem with DHL once he got the tracking number, very fast. Better than UPS or Fedex in his opinion.

i ordered a set of lights from insidesun and it came with no problem at all. everything was new and working well.
it took about a week for it to arrive to my door.
i have no complaints about this mike person.

Just order 400w setup, figured it should be a problem since everyone says to buy from there. Anyway its been two weeks and my thing is still pending.
Emailed to check what was up and got no reply.

iv had horrible experiance with them, the guy drop shipps everyhting so he dont have to keep stock, he dont give you tracking ##s he dont answer emails, and he ballast are total peices of shit...i had a 1k light burn out in 3 months from there.....atay away form inside sun imho and go with MD hydro
