    Should I cut these Leaves?

Every once in a while check the pH of your runoff water. Eventually the coir may reach the optimal pH and you won't have to adjust so much.
Add the nutes first, then test, then add the pH up/down.
Do you know the pH of your tapwater? Mine is 7, my soil is just perlite and composted cow manure/leaf humus, haven't had any reason to adjust since I got rid of the peat moss in my soil mixes. It's one of the reasons I'm through with hydro as well, and avoid those 'soilless' mixes like coco coir. The leaf humus has a natural buffering action at around what you need to grow the shrek.

Thanks Stinky,, yeah the coco coir is what that guy is in Its super easy to get in canada. and most shops push it on me instead of Soil. like Promix.

My tap water is Ph 7 So if I add some NUtes. it will bring it down a bit My guess is to around 5 or 6. perhaps less

So I will add some Ph Up to bring it back up to match the soil.

    Thansk for all the help.

at the point of taking the clones, the same time as the first cut, cut the leaves in half!, this helps shock the nutes back into the stem, slows down photosythasis and encourages root developement,
trimmed clones will generally do better than those that dont get cut and wilt instead, remember we dont need our clone to grow untill it has roots, to make roots we need to slow down the whole process of the plant growth a little, trimming the fan leaves in when making the first cut, with scissors, this should be a centimeter or more below where the final cut will be , so cut alowing a couple of cms after the last node! place in water with clonex @ 2 drops per liter or radical magic in, let them sit for 24 hrs in water, then with a scalpal cmake the final cut just below the node, scar away a litle of the outer stem and did into clonex gell or radical magic then into the medium, the soaking allos the clone to become as hydronated as possible, the clone draws up the water and clonex by photosythasis occouring while soaking! this allows a perfect absorbtion of hormones and water, the clones will not wilt if kept in a dome or cloner, and sprayed once or twice a day, "alg a mic" is excelent for foliar spray on clones, it makes them very lush and healthy, allowing them to root! fast.

    good luck!

welcome to the world of endless possibilities,,,,,hydroponics
