Unsure about 400 VS 600 HPS

Fuck it, I'm getting a 600w HPS. What type of energy bill increase should I expect?

Unsure about 400 VS 600 HPS I plan on having a 16 plant sea of green in a 4X4 (one plant per square foot), using some kind of hydro (flood and drain) in some kind of medium. Now my question is, even though all the books say 400 watt HPS is OK for a 4X4, will it be enough for 16 plants? Would it be OK to suppliment it with some CFLS or do you think it's neccessary I get a 600w? Rating: 5

:stoned: 1 600w at 24hour cycle thats about 3.5 amps. I have 3 6oow thats about 11 amps ab out $250 more a mounth for all the power i draw for my entire room

Go with the 600. My area is 4.5X4.5 and have grown with a 400, a 600, 400+600 and 600+600. Now i always use the 2X600 and get huge yields.

my room ic 4x4x9 i have 3 600w in a cool tube ventings fine but im always tieing back once or twice a day so they dont burn.What do you think about
running a 400-600-400 insted of 600-600-600

cannot see the benifits myself
apart from the fact the the amount of light your plants recive may not be the limiting factor to size of the yeild now youve gone all supernova style

Question, how much would a single a) 400 w HPS bulb b) 600 w HPS buld cost per month if my rate is 0.15 a kilowatt hour @ 18/6?

dont worry about leccy mate
a 600w hps in a perfect enviroment should return 300-600g off top quality sensi buds every 12-14 weeks
10-20oz @ £100-£160 per oz
= no problem finding 50p for the meter
