I doubt your are a hip hop artist but if you are, I did not mean to offend you. Please let me rephrase . A LOT of it is meaningless (i.e. "let your chain hang low. let it wobble to the flo)...yeah the artists prolly have a couple meaningful songs. but those are still annoying too..

OK you dont like rap but that dosent mean even most is meaningless i dont think any music is meaningless. Hey I could argue the same thing about rock but I dont cause I know we all get something different about music.

man, if you really listen to the triple 6 you know theyre not serious about the devil shit "ask me if i worship satan, ill send your ass to see him" (know what song thats from? they do it cause it makes people uncomfortable. although not anymore since theyve moved much more towards mainstream. but theres nothing better to listen to when youre high. everyone download now i'm high pt. 3 and listen to it when youre high. i guarentee you will like it, even you haters out there. and smoke if you got it (shit, i could keep going on and on, they have so many great songs about weed that should be listened to when youre blazed.

It sounds like most of y'all don't really like rap, you like the beats. A lof of beats can go to any genre, it's all about the song place over it that determines the genre.

As far as rap itself goes, I agree with one that defended rap earlier. Y'all hearin all the wrong artists. Every genre has good and bad artists. Good and bad songs, better or worse. All music is poetry, it's the magic of the sound that relates to your liking that pulls you to it. Obviously there's an alternate effect with some music, lol, but all rap music is not bad. I challange you to pick up CDs from artists like:

Bizzy Bone (solo albums, he has a lil more then 10 out), Dead Prez, Lauryn Hill, Jean Grae, Bone Thugs -n- Harmony (Ressurrection, Art of War), etc. Listen to a different blend of the type pf rap music y'all are complainin about. Saigon, Definately Krayzie Bone(Thug Mentality 1999) Some of these rappers do relate to the message of the volitle side, but i'm specifing songs of other blends that they do incorporate. There's many more worthy of praise artsist, but I ain't gonna keep goin on.
