hey mate, nice box.

you need some air circulation. Id get a fan and poke some holes. Intake at the bottom, exhaust at the top on the opposite side. you should have a 1.0/1.5 exhuast/intake diameter ratio. passive intake/fan to exhaust. exhaust vent your hps directly. It will help exhaust some hps heat and bring in CO2 and might raise the humidity depending on where the cab is set up. may also need a solution for smell depending on your location. veg with about 60% or so. keep the air a little wet. remember thou, when ya flower, drop the humidity, turn fan down. dont want to rot the buds.

I got 2, 120mm comp. fans for exhausts. I gotta cut the holes (4" diameter) once i get these 1st grow test plant ones flowered and cut. Im using 2, 90 4" degree PVC elbows for the exhausts.

Hooking up the fan to them so they are lightproof (hence the bend) then slip both the PVC pipes into the wholes. Intake idk if im gonna put a fan there, cause the exhaust creates a suction w/ the intake. Idk if im going to make a cool tube for the HPS but we'll see

So far they have been growing pretty well, i would expected better but i know where i did wrong and will improve before the next Currently: 1 month, 6 days old. 10 plants, bagseed Specs: Potting soil - Perfect Garden Potting Mix w/ Perilite (from Wal-Mart :o) (1) C25 Cab (1) 9" Oscilating fan (1) 400w HPS (6) Cool CFL's (3 fixture turned to a 6 with Y sockets :D) Rating: 5

biggest mistake people make is not having good air flow those 2 PC fans wont do shit in that cab but make alot of noise you need something to push a good deal of air 500CFM otherwise you will always battle temps when you close the door up.

you need both intake and exhaust its not reccomended its a must

i cant see anything else wrong obviously wrong with your set-up.
they say lights are the most expensive thing, which is true to an extent.
you cant grow with crappy lights.
but with good lights comes the need for good ventilation and circulation, they go hand in hand.

i like to use the analogy of tuning up a car, or upgrading a pc....


you can have a twin turbo 2000cc, but if its got factory suspension, it will be slower than a car thats got half the power with good suspension around a track

it dosent matter how fast your CPU is, if its got low RAM and a crappy graphics card, its going to dissapoint you.

its just about finding a good balance that works for you, and it looks like your well on your way anyway

invest in some proper ventilation!

Yeah i know what you guys are sayin. I only started this without it cause it was bagseed, free, and i wanted a test run. I got excited to i started growing em haha. Im worried at all about weight just getting myself famliar with growing

Im going to start adding the nutes (Miracle Gro Bloom Booster 15-30-15) to my next round of waterings. Im thinking nuteing every 3rd watering.

Be carefull w/ that mircale gro, that shit has chemicals like no other. What i would do is add an organic nutrient solution or buy the nutrients one by one, im using Down To Earth All purpose blend 5:5:5. Remember, what you feed them, especially during flowering, is what your smoking in the end.
