You're young and your family is rich. About 90% of the World's population would be eager to trade lives with you
Glad you're feeling better though...depression sucks. I remember I used to go into long bouts with it. One day after I had been miserable for about a week and had hit rock bottom, I realized whatever I thought I was depressed about wasn't nearly as bad as feeling miserable about it all the time. That was like a magic moment for me. I literally felt the depression melt off me like butter. To this day I remember the exact place it happened as I was driving down the road, and I've always been able to control it ever since.

We're all on a journey. Every single one of us, every single day.
It's our.... wtf is happening to my eyes... everything just went purple...
wierd...
Anyway, it's our job to figure out our reality and spirituality and morality and etc etc etc until we die.
I think one of the worst components in our lives is fear. Fear drives us to become zelots, to blame others, to destroy.
As soon as you devote everything to one single idea, to one reality, it's causes a multitude of complications with everything. But to live in a state of infinite possibility, of unknowing... It scares a lot of people. A lot of people don't have the courage to maintain a constantly open mind, they need to pick something and banish other ideas in order to maintain faith in their own. There are other motives as well, but the outcome always causes unrest amongst fellow human beings.
However, we all have these choices to make. And history has shown, one mind alone is not always the best option. We're all genetically different, raised different, we all perceive reality differently. In order to make your own personal choices, what better way than to try to understand all the different perspectives of that choice?
We may all have metaphorical "hearts"... But can your heart alone truly provide the intellectual and emotional supplement that fuels your personal journey?
I think not. We need each other.
And this forum is a nice place to interact, share opinions and ideas.

Why don't you just go to some other boards with people who like to bitch each other out all the time. Try www.herzeleid.com, I left that one 2 years ago because it got like that (like you). This actually used to be a pretty cool and friendly place, but we've been losing those types of people because of people like you ruining this board.

Not that it's any pleasure to deal with but it seems to me this would be a case of someone trying to work out his 'spiritual' issues. People under a lot of stress are seldom easy to be around.the yeag, not in regard to this particular post, but you're seriously the most negative person that has come on these boards thus far.

IMO spirituality and organized religion have the same relationship as ethics and government: You can be spiritual or ethical without being part of an organized religion, or governed by anyone.
The flip side is that an organized religion can lose sight of its deeper spirituality just as a government can lose its ethics.
I've never been a great fan of organized religions, especially those with a history of fleecing their flocks. The idea of the tithe sickens me.
