I wrote the following poem about 11 years or so ago...

Mutual Benefactors

From wherefore cometh thou holy dope that we smoke when we toke?
Did it not descend upon us from the starry heavens above?
Does it not grow from the soul of mother earth?
To give pleasure is the pleasure of ganja
But who is more pleased - The smoker or that which is smoked?
Ganja gets high because it gets to play in the mind of man
And the man gets high because he gets to experience the mind of nature
And both become mutual benefactors in this spiritual exchange
In holy union two lovers embrace
Transported away to a beautiful place
Where it is said that the high mind resides
So birdie birdie in the mystic sky
You don't have to flap your wings to fly
Tell you what - You give me some of that birdseed
And I'll share some of my weed
And we'll slide down rainbows in the astral plane
Go insane from a baked brain
But that's allright - We're not crazy
