first time cab grow

good question i too have no good story...so i got lights today 4 2700k 23watt=100watt with each a lumen out put of 950 and 2 6500k 26 watt=100watt with each a lumen out put of 1600.... any comments on my lights?

how big is ur grow area?

reflectix is found where the insulation is if you cant find it ask them and tell them you are covering your basement to trap heat and keep it dry thats what i said when i went to a diffrent home depot and couldnt find it.

it comes in 3 sizes

if i were you i would get either bigger 2700 k lights or just get 2 more of em... but u seem to be ok with the 6500 k

Well i went to Home Depot today... i found this stuff called reflectix but it was more sliver like bubble wrap. looks nothing like what ive seen in ur cab invision...

doing a quick search online i found the stuff invision must have found.. its a diffrent kind of reflectix.. first one is the real foil reflectix.. 2nd is the bubble that i could only find at my home depot.

how many 2700k lights do i need ? i have a lumen out put of 3800 for about 1 square foot

wheres a good place to get perlite vermiculite and peat moss??

1stly ur gonna need the foil reflectix.. i dont think the bubblewrap style would reflect much light.. i believe its made to insulate rather than reflect visible light..ud be better off painting it flat white.. it reflects about 90% of the light back.. vs the foil reflectix witch reflects 97%... secondly i believe 3-4 sould be enough cfl's just make sure ur using the "daylight" or "cool white" for the vegitative growth, and when u switch ur lights to 12/12 switch the lights to the "warm white" type of cfl... 3rdly i hate walmart but they havwe everything peat vermiculite nutes lights fans paint .. just about everything but the seeds... i still hate you walmart!... hope that helps yah
