When I did flood-and-drain in rockwool cubes and a bed of hydroton, I flooded 2x/day with good results. The hydroton had time to just dry between flood cycles, and I never had a rot problem.
As your plants grow larger and demand more water, you may want to increase to 3x/day.

I need to know how long the water should be running and at what cycle, my strain is skunk1 and my light cycle is 18/6.
