LOL, you're right, I've heard this one too. Me and my stoned moments it's suprising I still make straight A's in college with a memory sometimes as bad as this.

Yeah, I use various programs for audio editing as well. The one I think I like the most has to be Adobe Audition. An amp would explain those nice, smooth reverb effects as well.

By the way, I saw a really good mic in a music store the other day for about $150. It was a high-quality electric condenser mic with a built-in USB interface. It seemed awesome. I'd recommend it to you if you were looking to get a new mic. Whatever you do though, don't buy a dymanic unidirectional mic for digital recordings no matter what someone tells you. They sound like cheap karaoke lol.
