Dry ice,not just for bombs anymore

Having heat problems? Leaves just looking a little pale and droopy? Can't figure out what to do? Get a block of dry ice! As dry ice is "melting", the CO2 released helps rejuvenate your plant. Never underestimate the power of dry ice. A one pund block of dry ice can lower the ambient temperature of a 4" x 4" x6' space up to ten degrees, depending on the intial temp.
Placing the block in cooler inside your space will make it last a little longer, keeping the temp down for a longer period, while you figure out how to cool it down permanently.
It's a cheap way to a short fix, using dry ice every day for cooling gets expensive.
And don't underestimate the power of a CO2 burst for your plants.

Anyone else had experince w/dry ice?

Yes, and the dry ice does kick it up a notch, however in the U.S., it is worrisome to buy dry ice as it's like going into a head shop and buying rolling papers. Never know who's tuned in to it!

True, true, but as long as you're not going in every day and buying pounds of the stuff from the same store, you should be fine. Just have a story ready in case someone asks...."I'm throwing a halloween party, need dry ice for the punch....."
