Perhaps thats because you've never gotten to know many gay people. They are just like everybody else, some are really cool, some not so much, but you'll never know unless you make the effort to get to know them. If you visit SF and the Bay Area, I think you'd be surprised about how wrong the mass media view of the city/area is.

Funny thing, even though this area is the largest grower of weed in the U.S, Boston beats us in consumption with nearly 13% of the residents being tokers.

Hell ya MA is one of the biggest bud smoking states i belive MA has a high percentage of alcohol use also

The thing is, budsmoker, is that there really isn't that many more gays in SF than there is anywhere else. The big difference is that people out here are much more open minded (this also applies to weed). People don't care if your gay, black, white, a weed smoker, or whatever. They judge you by who you are not your sexuality or race. Because of this, gays are just more in the open and don't have to hide the fact that they're gay. If the guy standing next to you is gay you know it. Personally, that makes me a lot more comfortable than living in a place with gays are judged harshely and forced to stay in the closet. Then you just never know. So, think about that the next time you and one of your KC buddies go for bbq, and he's standing a little too close to you. Maybe it's just because the place is crowded. Or maybe it's because he's thinking of having his dick in your ass. Feel comfy now???
