We smoke a lot of Weed In San Francisco

The San Francisco area is pretty weed friendly and I read that about 8% of us are pretty regular smokers. So it made me think just how much weed are we smoking here? So I did a quick calculation

The area that is officially called "The San Francisco Bay Area" is about 100miles North to South and about 50miles East to West, with a big bay right in the middle. There's about 6million people here so about 480,000 smokers. Figure an average(some more, some less) of 1/8th per week. That 3.5 grams x 480,000 which works out to about 3,750lbs per week or a whopping 195,000lbs of weed smoked per year! just in this little area. Now that's a lot of weed!:stoned:

Haha, never actually seen anyone try and work out how much herb we smoke in the Bay Area. Good job man, we should try and raise some money for a more scientific survey.

I really want to hit up some dispensaries up there, I was looking through a local club paper and they had a article on the bay areas clubs, prices are way cheaper then down south. cool place!

Funny thing, even though this area is the largest grower of weed in the U.S, Boston beats us in consumption with nearly 13% of the residents being tokers.
