    Smoking with INH and B6

Ive been a daily smoker for awhile now and i have been trying to get my girlfriend to smoke with me. Quite awhile back she had come in contact with tuburculosis so to make sure she didnt get it the doctors put her on INH and B6, meds. She smoked one night with me and the next day she said she felt sick, i think she just got the cold but shes worried about mixing the bud and the meds. If anyone knows anything about this id like to know more, i dont want to put her in danger in any way. thanks

I don't know about interaction between those particular meds and weed, but a pharmacist would probably be an excellent person to ask. Don't push her to smoke if it makes her feel bad or if she feels more comfortable not doing so, especially considering the medication she's taking. Isoniazid (INH) is a heavy-duty antibiotic that can cause liver toxicity, and so it's entirely plausible that her body already has all the work it can to do metabolize the Isoniazid without adding weed into the mix.

If your girlfriend has been exposed to tuberculosis, I'm hoping you're taking precautions yourself so as not to be exposed to it, too, from her in the event that she has contracted it. Don't share joints or cigarettes. Make sure any of her coughs are well covered. Ideally, you wouldn't be getting within airborne/saliva-borne illness range, but I know that can be tough if she's your girlfriend. Mostly go easy on her and don't push her to smoke or do anything else that might further tax her body at this delicate time.

I had wondered about that, if it was just taking her immune system down or what but wasnt sure. Im not going to push her to smoke though, i told her if she wants to she can and i would like it but its cool if not. She doesnt mind if i sit beside her with a joint so were happy. And the doctors said she cant give tuburculosis to anyone. thanks for that tho
