What causes the first time to have no effect?

First time I smoked I didn't FEEL high but I was laughing at fucking everything. It was quite weird.

I agree with the "not feeling used to thc" thing.... It took me awhile actually to get used to feeling high. but now im good

Yeah, I didn't get high till after like 4 or 5 times either. For me it didn't feel like an inhalation problem, but it could've been I guess.

Here's my piece of advice: Get her in the right attitude man! See, my first time, I wouldn't shut up about "Oh, I'm not high man. I'm not feeling it." So much of the enjoyment you get from your high (Well, mine anyway) comes from your attitude. An attitude that says "I'm fuggin stoned man" is going to help you feel way more high than "Man this blows. I don't feel it."

I remember one time I'd been puffing all evening and I was getting frustrated cause my evening was turning out shitty, and I said "Man this isn't working. I feel like crap" And my high felt like it went away instantly. It didn't, but like I said. Behold the power of suggestion. My two cents.

the first time i ever smoked i got hiiiiggh as fuck! me and my cuz were blazing and he kept telling me to hold it in as long as you can. After about 7 or 8 hits i was like i dont like this shit here u can have it and then i just started uncontrolably laughing at everything and couldnt even remember my name. The best experience ive ever had in my whole life. Just make sure they inhale it all the way in their lungs and hold that shit as long as you can and hopefully theyll be ripped!

the first few times i smoked i didnt get high --the fourth time i smoked from a bong and that was the first time i felt any effects, though nothing compared to what it was like when i finally learned how to inhale right. i rarely smoke cigs, so the first time i smoked weed i remember it seeming really harsh and i coughed a lot. anyway, hope she has a good first experience.

Usually because you dont inhale right. It takes a few times to understand how to inhale, and a while to fully understand how to properly inhale efficiently.

Smoked some Hawian dank my first time out of a one hitter and felt nothing. I agree that it has some thing to do with people's brains not knowing what to do with all of the thc b/c the first time i vaped i did not get high.
