    It's funny how someone laughing at how no one else knows how a microwave works doesn't know himself.

    It's actually - get this - microwaves. The same technology is used in cellphones, its just a radio wave, typically 2450mhz in microwave ovens. There is nothing dangerous or nuclear about it.

    So you don't think it's a bad idea to eat food that's been cooked by these radioactive waves, but smoking something cooked by them is bad? I don't understand you.

    Lol, ok im high but here goes....

    A microwave sends radio waves at a certain speed so that it makes water vibrate, causing it to heat up. Thats why hotdogs explode in there and shit.

    That's fairly accurate, it's electromagnetic waves at 2450Mhz, and the water molecules are actually spinning, and creating heat in the process. Though hotdogs actually explode because water expands as it turns into a gas, the pressure builds up, and bursts the hotdog's casing. But yeah, basically the same thing.
