    ****HELP PLEASE****

I just checked the veg box I have and noticed some yellow specks on the top of my leaves. Turn the Leaf over and low and behold are little brown specks that seem to smear on my finger when I wipe them. These sound like spider mites? How do I rid myself of this tragedy and avoid infesting my flowering room? My veg box is currently in my basement and Im thinking Im going to put it upstairs on the same floor as my flower box to make my life easier and get the box in a better environment. Should I wait til I get rid of this pest problem before moving the box or can I move the box then deal with the problem? Any help would be amazing for me right now seeing as I am freaking out about these damn mites. Thanks for any help/suggestions!!!

mites are the worst and they used to be hard to get rid of. As long as you dont have your garden where people or animals are just go to walmart or meijers and get hotshots no pest strips 5 $ hang it over plant for week or two remove it might need another one when you change the light cycle buts i pernally garentee itll get rid of them.

Thanks for the reply I appreciate it. I have four of those no pest strips 2 in my flowering room and 2 in my veg box. I guess Im going to have to pick up some more of them. I dont have them hanging at the moment they are just sitting on the bottom of the box. Do you think I should move them and hang them from the top at plant level or will it really make a difference?

You definitely have spider mites. They will destroy your plant and any plant that comes in contact with it unless you treat soon.

You and your pest strips. Man I wonder?

Neem oil is becoming the preferred method of pest control indoors and out for many growers.

It is safe, natural and very powerful. Oh yeah cheap too.

Of course as it is oil based and needs a small amount of soap to emulsify in the sprayer bottle, I wouldnâ??t spray late harvest.

PS Blunted22: Just kidding I love teasing you about the pest strips

I had what I would call a minimal spider mite infection on 8 hydroponically grown plants. By minimal I mean 1.5 of the plants had only scarce signs of webs and mites. We decided to get 1500 ladybugs and unleash the fury of nature on the mite bastards but lo and behold, they failed. After day 3 there were so many dead and half dead ladybugs it was more hassle than it was worth. Now, the ladybugs are few and far between, and the ones that ARE there are making ladybug love. Yes you heard right, they are mating on my plants, meanwhile the infestation has trippled. WTF?
