Dramatic Heart Increase?

Hey, Last time I was smoking resin, my heart rate went up quite considerably. Whilst I was stoned out of my mind, and panicking, which may have contributed to a fast heart rate. I estimate that my heart was going at 170 a minute or more. Is this normal, or dangerous? I know that your rate heart is supposed to go up somewhat whilst smoking, but it really scared the shit outta me, and I haven't done it since.

My resting heart rate is around 80 beats a minute. Is this dangerously hugh to be smoking cannabis? Some answers would be appriciated. Thanks a bunch!

Was it 170 or did you guess it was 170? Did you take your pulse at either your neck or wrist and count or did you just feel or think it was that fast?

No I counted. But looking back its all very hazy and I can't really remember. I also asked someone, but the guy could've been exaggerating. But it was going fast, no doubt about it.

Increased heart-rate will be more of a risk if you're a nubie. Just know you're limits and try to kee your stress-levels as low as possible. My heart used to pound like a jackhammer too.
