X2 1600 lumens "Daylight" cool blue spectrum 100-watt equivelant CFLs within inches of plants.
X1 2000 lumens "Bright light" balanced spectrum 120-watt equivelant.

I know that's only around 5,200 lumens but I plan on getting more lights, I figure it's enough to have a small tray of soil to sprout seedlings in. The grow medium I'm using is a light airy soil (sphagm moss and phosphate enriched potting soil 60moss/40soil) that's been watered down and had 6 seeds sewn under the surface. I plan on getting a real tray/light setup soon but for now this is what I have.

it's more than enough lumens to start with.
fluorescent light tubes or 6500K CFL's are perfect for vegetation cycle.
I have 12 clones right now growing under 2x30W CFL's. it would be like over 3000 lumens or smthn... in a couple of weeks I will add couple more CFL's.
but right now they doin' just fine
