Hey ecky, good to see your ladies are still growing strong! I've just give mine what's gonna be it's last feed, don't think it's gonna be more than a couple of weeks now Don't know much about NFT, do you flush the same or leave it longer?

Aye hudson man seems a while since i seen you on here. might be me stoned lol..

Am gonna flush with ph'd water last week of flower maybe just less than a week coz of NFT should flush alot quicker..then maybe let them sit with no feed or water for 2-3 days. this should help with the drying process..and the plant use anything food wise whats left over..

How does that sound man ? Its all abit of a experiment this to me. hehe more fun..

no water 4 the last wk not only helps with dryin but can also stress the plant which makes it produce more thc ive read somewhere,ive always done that on me gh grow,

Sounds good to me ecky, i've also read somewhere that stressing the plant late in flowering increases thc production, might be an idea to test the theory by watering a couple normally and with-holding water from others to see if there is a difference? Nah i've not been around here much the last couple of weeks, my ps2 broke a couple of months ago and i've just got a new one, so i've been getting stoned and spending most of the day playing gran turismo without realising

Its mad all this lol. ive just been reading on how to starve stress plants. seems you get even more THC if you do it.

During flushing water for 48 hrs then starve for 24 hrs at a time.

so much to think about these next couple of days. Ive 2 days max in my rez and thats it, no more nutes for em.
anyone else used the starve technique ?

Aye, I do it as well m8. Say I was doing an indoor grow & the strain took 6 weeks to finish....power feed them for 4 weeks [ up to 1650 -1800 ppm.] then start flushing coz they don't need any more....1st week of flushing...normal watering times with NO overnight drinks & 2kg's of raw sugar [dissolved with warm water] in the system, no need to adjust PH for flushing, just straight water[with the sugar]....just watch those buds stack on the weight with the sugar fix :thumbsup:this also makes it much nicer to smoke :thumbsup: ...last week....straight water once every 2 days for 4 days then nothing for the last 3 days or whenever you think they are ripe. You could also leave them in the dark for the last 3 days as well, this also increases resin production. :greenthumb: another trick I use is stem piercing.... :thumbsup: what you do is stab the stem just above the level of the medium, split it all the way thru the bottom of the stem,[with a pocket knife or whatever] & force a wedge of some sort in there....I use a sharpened stick, like a small spear... don't worry, you won't kill it even tho it looks fatal....normally I do this when there is 2-3 weeks of flowering left.....if you wanted to experiment with this technique, you could try it on a smaller branch 1st. if you feel uncomfortable about stabbin' yer ladies.... but all I can say is that it increases the stress on the plant, therefore increasing trichome production. I've been doing it 4 years now on indoors & outdoor plants & I haven't killed 1 yet....You just have to see it to believe it m8, they literally start gushing resin crystals...:thumbsup:

Also this time am gonna starve em a little leading upto the sugar treatment. :thumbsup: coz where nearly at harvest time..:dance:

Will be better next time coz am stsrtin everything from seed, cant be copin with clones I know not alot about.
