Rockwool. RINSE it before you use it.

My method:

Rinse in tap water to get out most of the rock fibers, then squeeze out and run through with R/O water or distilled to get it really good and flushed.

Oh, and one more thing, whenever I move the clones from rooted stage into the 4â? cubes, I spray a diluted solution of pHâ??d water, seeweed extract, and very little bit of SuperThive (just started the ST). Spray a little into the hole, and a little on top.
