    Kickin' Ass!!!

I like how you grow in Rockwell and rocks. So neat and tidy. My gf would love the no dirt part.

Do you just let the roots grow into the rocks? What about water pooling in the bottom below the rocks? It looks like a good way of growing.

    Looking awsome.

    Hey, KD. What's crack-a-lackin'? :smokin:

Well, yea the rockwool & hydroton definitely makes for a laboratory-type environment. I like it clean. You should try it someday. If it were soil, I'm sure it would all be swept up and kept clean also.

    *sparks spliff*

So here's how it works. Obviously you use the rockwool as a medium to grow in until the roots start popping out of the rockwool. Then, yes, you just remove the white plastic around the rockwool and set the block into a bed or a pot of hydroton rocks. The roots grow into and around the rocks.

Different systems have been used here in the JOURNAL with regard to the watering and the rocks. In the veg, there are some POTS with the same set up and those are hand-watered. The other plants in there are also being hand watered. Any runoff runs into a drainage system setup. Check out the earlier pics, I'm sure they will show it. If not, future pics will.

In the main flowering room, the 5 plants are all sunken into a bed of hydroton and it is set up with an Ebb & Flow system. For those of you who are unfamiliar with that term, that just means that there is a special set of drains that allow water to be pumped in to fill up the planter up to a certain point where it reaches an overflow drain. Then when the pump stops running, all of the water runs back into the resevoir. This is run 2 times daily for approximately 15 minutes, or however it takes for the resevoir to fill up and give the plants some time to drink up. It also soaks the rockwool cubes they are in, so they don't go completely dry.

Hmmm...what else. That's about it.

    Updates? DAY 136? I think.......yes.

    DAY 136/59/51/4

Ok, welcome back homies. Iâ??m still toking on some sweet sinsemilla. Itâ??s niiice. :rasta:

    I also have 2 cookies and a waterâ?¦FYI.

SO, THREE days have gone by.

Bodom box is at more than 8 weeks. Main flowering is in the 8th week, and we got lots of other exciting stuff to play with! :yippee:

As much as Iâ??d like to have a beautiful system of displaying pictures, or some fo --- damn it! I lost my lighter! â?¦(pause)â?¦ok found it. Whew! Under my leg. Had to roll the girl off me. Didnâ??t mean to wake her. Itâ??s 3am.

    So I was sayingâ?¦

Here is the main flowering room. In the eighth week. Oh, yea, and weâ??re flushing now.

Next we have the VeG room! Yea, I love how vegging plants look, donâ??t you?

    Pic 1 â??Veg from above
Pic 2 â?? The mother is blocking all the other ones.
Pic 3 â?? Howâ??s the LSTing? Looking like a monster yet?

Pic 4 - Clone action. I think these are actually 29 days from first clipping off the mothers. The mothers of these clones were the 2 big suckers we had in the left side veg a while back. We cut them down and threw them out on DAY 107. ANYWAY, here are their babies. We will evaluate their worth and see if we will make a mother out of one of them again.

    MOVING RIGHT ALONGâ?¦

    Still DAY 136/59/51

Letâ??s look into our Cab of Secretsâ?¦

    Downstairsâ?¦what do we have? Hmmâ?¦

4 jars of icky! Gotta open the jars to air them outâ?¦mmm. They still smell a bit like nutes or chlorophyllâ?¦or something.

And here is a germination tray. It has been 3 days since they were placed in the high-tech, top of the line, one-of-a-kind paper towel/baggie-in-tray system.

We havenâ??t had to add any water to keep it wet since it was first â??wettedâ??. If you zoom, you can see each of the 6 seeds has a small taproot!

Much better than last time. Caught it right as the taproot has come out. Thatâ??s all you need. Time to bust out the rockwool cubes. ~rubs hands together~

Clean some rockwool and get ready to SOW!

Edit: Gotta take a short break from updating. Be back later.

    Sowing our pricey seeds.

3 on one side, 3 on the other. In you go, little ones. Go aheadâ?¦ :weedpoke:

Now put them under a humidome, and leave them to sprout. They donâ??t need light â??til theyâ??re out of their holes! Then, close flouro to keep â??em short.

It took 3 days to â??popâ?? from seed to taproot.

Edit: I don't know what I did with the picture of them under the humidome, but you "get the picture."

    DAY 4 FLOWER

NOW we move onto the Cab of Enlightenment. The three Yâ??s. Nothing special except that this is the 2nd CFL flowering of the JOURNAL. That's pretty good stuff! Temps are a little higher than would like. 86F The fans seem to be working ok. It might have something to do with the huge gaps in the doors that have not been sealed yet.

These babies are now, however, on their 4th day of flowering! I wonder how many days it will take to see the first pistilsâ?¦

Oh, and I just thought of something. Yes, we will most likely be putting up mylar inside soon.

    DAY 59 Flower (8.5 weeks)

TO the BodomBox! Itâ??s been 59 days since they were flipped. Weâ??ve harvested 6 so far, I believe. Losing track of the numbers.

This small one in the front got burnt or something. I have no idea what happened to her, but sheâ??s crispy and therefore, getting culled.

    So, there hereâ??s what weâ??re doingâ?¦

First, we took the 2 we ARENâ??T chopping, and we put them in the Cab of Life (CoL) to finish out.

    And thenâ?¦
