Since we got the two monsters out, we have room to bring down our clones.

We also are being more selective this time and getting rid of some of the weaker ones.

I hate throwing away guaranteed female plants. It makes me sad.

We topped a couple that were getting away on us.

    We fixed the wiring situation...

...if you look back, you will see we were trying to get the wiring up out of the bottom compoartment where the water was. We did that, and brought it it up onto the left side, but didn't get around to nailing it up to the wall and it sat in the side next to the planter. We decided to hurry up and put it on the wall before someone got exectricuted. This decision was hurried along when water was splashed out of the planter, onto the wooden shelf and ONTO the powerstrip. It was immediately dried, nothing shorted, and we commenced raising the wires. Now it is all nice and neat. Behold.

Set the plants we have left into their places. We still have our Bonsai Mama #11a taking up a lot of room...but there is room for the other clones. Side lighting rocks. Now, we'll try to keep these girls from stretching like their mothers did. Topping, LST, keep the light close. OK.

New clones up top. This will be our 3rd run of clones. We've had 100% rooting success rate. We just threw some away but they could've grown into normal plants with a little care...so our virtual success rate with clones is 100%. Olivia's rocks. Humidomes rock. Seaweed rocks. Hydroton rocks.

Nice new fresh veg room. Nice and neat. Back to manageable size. With a few casualties....meh.

Onto the Main Flowering room. This is ~DAY 21~ of flower. End of three weeks.

Plants are 50 inches. Over 4 feet tall from base of stem. Huge stretch at bottom, but top is pretty dense and branchy. This came from the plants living the first part of their life under weak flourescents (and not enough of them or kept closely enough)...then being switched to 400w HPS for some veg time before being flipped into 12/12 under 400w HPS.

Plants are starting to grow LOTS of budsites. I counted at least 60-70 on just the front plant alone.

The plants are stretching...some more than others. This one out front, number 13, has started to really be showing Sativa traits. If you look back to Day 104, you will see a really cool pic of the top of this plant, kind of like pic #4 here. Pay attention to this plant...something horrible shall happen to it.

Pic#5 is a shot showing the plant in the back corner is still getting sucked into the cool tube. We already had raised the light once because of this, but this time we are going to pull the plant away from the light. The plants seem to be pretty comfortable with the light, which is only inches away from the tallest plant. Cooltubes rock.

Observation: The plants that are receiving light, direct light (close) have less trichomes than those that are receiving adaquate but not overly intense light. Just a small theory. Also, the plants in the rubbermaid bloombox are much more crystally than these large plants. Curious. Maybe, there is a correlation between 'too much' direct light and trichome production...just a though.

Ok. So here is how it went...

I came on here asking what we should do for our height problems seeing as we have huge mammoth plants in the right side and they might "double" in size. Someone mentioned something about trying to SCRoG them now...

So...and I'm not blaming the person who said that (I think it was Bear, I may be wrong) because I was the stupid idiot who manhandled the plants like I was wrestling a bear.

So, trying to envision what such a late SCRoG screen would look like, I said, well, what if I gently bent this top stem so it ran horizontal like this...

    ...SNAP!...

..."Son of a #@*&!, Mother %*&#@$!...etc." Then I quickly grabbed some electrical tape, which was the closest thing I could find...and taped the tree back up where it had "bent." Look at pic #2 about 18 inches down from the top see the black tape...this is right after it happened.

Pic #3,4,5 are about 15 minutes later.

I also made a small mixture of water and superthrive and administered it to the wounded area. I don't think it will help.

I spoke with someone on chat (Tra*no*ble) who told me that it would be fine! That he does it all the time and I just have to tape it up and it will repair itself. WHOA...I said. That is a relief. Then he said, well that's in soil, which is a little more forgiving...I dunno about hydro.

So, we'll see. Cohort wants to cut it off and smoke what buds it has. I say leave it on and see how it is in a week. What do you all think? Sad, sad sh*t, huh? I guesstimate that if that top, with all those branches, dies...we will lose a good 30-40 grams, over an ounce.

Advisory: Be careful with your plants. Don't snap them like a friggin' moron. Have a nice day.

    Well, we move on.

it'll be fine, just give it a week

    you'll see
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

God damn Fog, Lookin great. A question about your post (number 385).. How do you have 3 plants in that one giant container with all the hydro rocks? Is it only with soil that more then one plant per pot become a problem?
