    ~DAY 104~

Ok, guys and gals. Time for a Foggy update.

It is DAY 104/32/18 in 'our' grow. We have good news and potentially disturbing news in each area.

Main Flowering Area - DAY 18 in bloom

    GOOD NEWS:

We've all but stopped the problems in our main flowering room. We had dry, dead and dying leaves, and now they seem to be coming back decently. They dead leaves are still dead, the dying are coming back, and we are seeing no new signs of the affliction. There were three possible culprits for this, and since we addressed them all simultaneously, we dont really know which one did it, but I think they all helped some.

    1. We have increased our bloom nutes. Good for P, K, and other deficiencies.

    2. We have added Magnesium Sulfate.

    3. We have unkinked our kinked water tube.

We are also starting to get hundreds, yes hundreds of budsites on our large plants in the flowering room. They are into their 3rd week of flowering, and starting to bud everywhere. The buds are not big, but we expect that to change over the next few weeks.

    Temps are excellent.

    POTENTIALLY DISTURBING NEWS:

In our main flowering room. We have about 18" stretch that we would LOVE to eliminate, but don't really see how, without doing major construction. We hope we don't run out of headroom. Theses babies have at least 5.5 weeks to go.

The light penetration is only what everyone says it is 2-3 feet max. The bottom is dark...spooky dark. The canopy is dense. That means some of the bottom shoots will never get enough light. So we've trimmed those off.

Well, here's some pics of the monsters.

Oh and I think we measured them somewhere around 46" or something liked that.

    :rasta:

More pics of the Main Flowering Area.

    1 - Some top shots.

    2 - Some budshots.

3 - Look how the cooltube is sucking the leaf in...hmmm This of course is because we have one end open...and because the plant has grown too high. Not burnt, tho. Cool tubes rock! We're gonna move up the light a little. We don't have too much more room to do that.

    .

Yeah sorry, just saw the thread title.
Did you build the cool tubes yourselves, and are they simply tubes leading to an exit?
I love the way you're having more fun with your grow than most people,

You could always throw a late screen up there, kind of like a late screen of green, it has been done before. This may also help you to maximize your light to bud sight ratio. The sooner the better.

unless u can bend those babies i think your gonna be screwed on those tops id say chop em and focus on budding the mid shoots so u have room to go up more if you are halfway into flowering already u might be ok if u have a bit more verticle room there plants can double or more their height during the flowering photoperiod nextime around get an indica variety and flower them when they reach about a foot of height
    well thats my 2cents

Here's where we trimmed off some of the bottom growth.

    MESSAGE TO NEWBIES:

Do NOT let your plants stretch this high. LOL. Seriously. We have like almost half a meter of stretch at the bottom. Nice thick, strong stalks, but look like frickin' outdoor plants, eh?

Note: I will admit...I wanted to make clones out of all these cuttings but...

    1. We have no more room for them.

    2. I refuse to take cuttings from a plant in it's flower cycle, unless it is done as an experiment, and in that case I would take a top.

    RIP, little cuttings.

    .

I agree with BB, screen them carefully 10cm down.
