    JOURNAL OF A MADMAN

Ok, as promised, here are pics of our ventilation system. We we have one 250cfm inline fan split by a T to act as exhaust for both rooms. Another 250 cfm inline fan will be used to cool the HPS. the holes in the plywood (look in other pics for them) will act as passive intake.

We plan to create a basic carbon filter out of carbon filter replacement sheets wrapped around a coffeecan with large holes...(I'll have to show a pic when we make it).

There is some bad news tho...the inline exhaust fans are worthless. Suction is minimal. I think the design is pretty good but our fan needs to be at least a centrifugal or squirrel fan to provide adaquate suction. With the system we have now, we cant close the doors without the right side (HPS) going up to 35+ degrees Celsius.

Are we on the right track???

    .

I too had the 35C horror from my HPS, the worthless fans, the sleepness nights, 'til I discovered...PLEXIGLAS!

By inserting a wall-to-wall plexiglas shelf about 10cm beneath the lamp, that pretty much shuts the air below and the air above off from each other, with an exhaust fan leading a 9cm wide piping right under the lamp, and an in vent down by the plants, I reduced the heat by 8 degrees.
Google plexiglas + light transmission if you're worried about losing light, plexiglass allows around 97% through, even better than glass.

It saved my life, it may save yours!

I'd love to see your coffee can filter solution, it sounds doable!

[SIZE=\"1\"]Everything I say about cannabis is just bragging to fit in with the gang. I cannot stand the stuff in real life, and I would turn myself in if I ever tried to grow or otherwise use the stuff.

Hey, Knowm! You didn't leave any "input." iloveyou

Thanks, JEFFAR420. The cloning chamber works excellently! I haven't lost a one!

    Still ~DAY 71~

We tried to put the other end of the cool tube on to draw fresh air, and isolate the tube, blah blah. It doesn't work. Look at the temp! 35C/93F

So that wont work. These inline duct fans have no fuggin power! Gonna have to do something else.

On a positive note...LOOK AT MY TEST-CLONES!!!!!!

They actually look like flowering plants! They havent shown their sex yet, but you can see they are in the flowering mode now by the way they've set they're tops up all nicely. I love this BodomBox of mine.
