What about seeing a pain management specialist? Accupuncture? Hypnosis?

Insurance may/may not cover these things, though. I can understand what you're going through, though- I have chronic agonizing pain, and I've gotten so fed up with idiotic doctors that I just have to deal with it. Accupuncture works pretty well, surprisingly- I'm willing to try anything, and that helped the most.
