Don't use alcohol- I went down that path and it took me 3 years to get out of the bottle. Who's your best friend(s)? Invite him/them over for a couple of joints and a long talk about what's been happening. The viewpoint of someone who is slightly outside of the problem can be helpful. And also, yes, you can get a restraining order on your brother. Get it now and make sure it covers phone calls as well as physical presence. If you are low income, go on line and find a fee waiver- it will take care of the cost of the order. When you are in court, show up neat, clean and sober. Keep calm when talking to the judge. I had to put a restraining order on an obnoxious former neighbor. He showed up stoned and angry, I was calm and ladylike. Judge took one look at us and decided even before I made my plea for the order. I hope things settle down quickly for you.
