how to get a card

I have been having migraines for 17 years - since I was 11. At 14 they started injecting me with something everytime one started coming on...at 19 I tried hypnosis....at 22 I had this laser surgery that did nothing but cause anxiety...at 25 it finally dawned on me that the only time I could guarantee to be pain free was to smoke a joint as I felt the pain moving n (many sufferers feel or sense the onset of a migraine). This is my excuse for not having a *real* job. I don't do 9-5...I write weekly and I do public relations on a contract basis. I need to basically have the freedom where if I feel the onset of pain, I can stay home, smoke a little and not worry about missing a days work.

I have, on occasion, been without anything to smoke and so I endure headaches that last up to 5 or 6 days.

Anyone who has a license to smoke as a result of these symptoms, you deserve it. I have never applied...mainly because finding an approving dr where I live could be near impossible, and I have no real history with any dr's outside my city. I'll be satisfied buying it and getting occasionally ripped off by punks...this is easier than fighting the system for somethig I believe I deserve, but which would prolly run me a long fight, and way too much public knowledge - I don't know what my clients would think of it, as I assume many of them do not smoke marijuana....

what about for something like ADD or insomnia? pretty much the only time i can get a good night's sleep is after smoking:rastasmoke:would that put me in legit need of a card? i know it's not a serious condition, but it tends to be greatly annoying

Ill share my recent experience with medical cards.

I live in TX, the laws have just changed here btw, but not good enough. (you can get ticketed now for having up to 4 oz or less on you if the officer chooses.) But I need to GROW legally, and thats a long way off here in tx. So here are my medical conditions. I shattered my clavicle in a motorcycle reck when I was 15 going about 80 miles per hour. I highsided and im lucky to be alive. I got addicted to vikedent and percocet after 3 surgeries and yrs in pain. The viks and percs did horrible things to my body, and made it hard to eat and sleep eventually. i lost 30 pounds, and started having panic attacks from all the meds they had me on. So what do the docs do to "help" me with the panic attacks?..... They give me more pills, this time zanex to calm me down. These little devils will make you cold as ice. I could have watched my mother die right in front of me and it would not have bothered me at all. I eventually stopped taking the pills and replaced them ALL with cannabis. It helps in MANY different departments that i had to take various different pills for other wise.

So I contacted a doctor in CO and he sent me a app for the card and he said that I would more than likely qualify for the card due to my extensive medical records going back for yrs on trying to treat the pain from the surgeries. I plan on moving to CO when things make sense for me and my family and job situation, but for now Ill just have to keep doing it illegally to medicate my self. One day ill be able to live my life with out fear that the medicine that works best for me, that I use at home, will not put me in jail for the rest of my life.

You need to live in a MMJ friendly state. If you are in California you just need something that cannabis provides relief for. In other states you need more "serious" conditions. I get my medicine soley for mental conditions, nothing physical.

so im wondering how you go about and get a cannabis club card i think u have to be 18 and im not sure what else dont u need to say you have pain or something

Your going to need medical record that proves your condition real. As long as you have that, your good to go.

I know that this is going to sound strange but, it was a, kind of, comfort to hear that I am not alone. I have been a migraine sufferer since I was about ten years old. I have had many test and been on many scripts for this...thing. If I do not smoke, I can/will have headaches that sometimes last up to five (5) days. They cause extreme sensitifity to light and smells. They also cause me to have nausea and sometimes vomiting. With that, loss of appetite. Weed has been my relief since I was 17 years old. NOTHING gives me the results in curbing pain, bringing back the ability to function like bud.

when i get a headache i go and smoke some bud and it relieves my headache. sorry if it is off topic.
