    how to get a card

people who try to get a card just to get high, in my opinion is completely pathetic.

it surely will be the end of something good for the masses because of a few selfish people.

    how to get a card

Getting my card was very stressful. I have a blood disorder and due to it I lost my spleen and every little thing makes me sick, there are days I throw up more than 10 times. The pain in my body and head from having such thick blood was excruciating! It's a double whammy on me when the disorder shifted into a type of lukemia and I was in searious pain all the time, I'm talking 10 or more loritabs, some valium, blood thinners and many percocets a day! I went to get my card because my DR said no more pain killers since it was making my liver enlarge. The first time they told me I didn't qualify. I was bummed. My neighbors girlfriend was giggling over how she got her card when she told them she had painful periods. It made me feel so bitter. Luckilly they got all my records squared away and now I have my medical. I wonder why it's so hard for some to obtain theirs and so easy for others?

Thats horrible. I simply had to make the appointment with the "special doctor"(not even needed), pay the 150$ for the visit, fill out some forms, show him my med records(past and present prescriptions), talked to him a little bit about my disorders and the use of cannabis, signed some papers, and I had my recc. I became legal in California.

Because many doctors do not really know what the law says and only listen to the controversy from our media about how it is legal, but not really, so most just ignore the Prop 215 law because they don't want to loose their job over actually helping a patient...good ol' American health care right hehe

I would recommend anybody interested in going legal that first they read Prob 215 and SB 420 so they know exactly what the law says. Your doctor is not a lawyer, so don't expect him to have read it. I didn't wait for my doctor to help me go legal, I came to him telling him what the law was and how it worked, but it didn't matter because he was obviously afraid of loosing his job, the dumb moron didn't even read Prop 215 and kept telling me he has never heard of any doctors prescribing marijuana. However, if his dumbass actually read the law, he would know that NOBODY prescribes marijuana in California, all he does is use his free speech to recommend marijuana use. Legally, he can't even tell me where to get it, so he has no chance of loosing his job unless Congress removes our freedom of speech from the constitution.

Anyway, I'm rambling now, but basically I told my doctor to shove it and went to one of those other doctors that charge about $150. I was expecting it to be a little shady, but the guy actually seemed to care about my health and know more than my primary doctor! He even recommended I don't smoke it, and instead, make it into a tea because I have Crohn's disease and it can heal inflamed parts of my stomach. So if your primary gives you any trouble, just get $150 and find a doctor that actually cares about your health!

Where is this in California? I just moved to San Francisco and after having not smoked cannabis for a while, really makes me realize how much it helped with depression and insomnia. I would like to see someone who knows what they're talking about in regards to medical marijuana (though I have done tons of research). I would just prefer this be legal. I currently take a long-term prescription for anxiety and it seemed to coexist with no apparent side effects with smoked marijuana.

    Thanks,
    Dude

Is this doctor in San Francisco. If so, can you/are you allowed to recommend me? I'm trying to get this resolved before school starts.

I don't think I'm understanding what you are asking me, can I write you a recommendation to use cannabis? No, I'm not a doctor, it has to be from a licensed doctor and the co-ops do call to verify before letting you in their store.

No the doctor I saw isn't in San Fran, but these doctors are popular and I'm sure you probably have more in your area than I have in my area so do some google searches, that's how I found the place I went to.

No, I wasn't asking for a MMJ recommendation. Just a phone number or address. But since it isn't in San Francisco, don't worry about it.

    how to get a card

Hello, I have a honest question for you.I have this problem that when it comes to eating food I don't really eat a whole lot im about 145 pounds and about 5'11, pretty much im skinny as hell and I find the only time I have an appitite is after I have smoked a little bit.Other than that usually I will pick at food and eat very little through out the day.I also get headaches sometimes for no reason like yesterday.I woke up with a headache like someone smacked me in the back of the head with a baseball bat.I had it for about 10-11 hours.Pain reliever medicine does not help either.Anyway I went to a buddies to see if I could smoke to try and get rid of it.He did not mind at all and my headache went away after 2 or 3 hits, not to mention when I came back home I was able to eat the amount of food that most eat in one day.
I don't know about states and all that but where I live I don't believe that even if it was considered a "medical marijuana" problem I would be able to get some.
Please holla back and let me know!

Medical marijuana laws differ from state to state, in California you would be legal to use marijuana to treat your conditions, you don't have to be on your death bed to get it here. According to the NORML.org state map, Oklahoma does not have a medical marijuana program, so even if you were on your death bed you still couldn't get it. You didn't really ask a question, but I think that's what you meant to ask right? :P
