The difficult think about cataloguing different weights is they can vary greatly in size depending on a few factors, but good luck man, this should be cool

I'm just sayin, man, I've NEVER got an 1/8th that weighed 3.5. I've been smoking for 2 and a half years, and where I live, 1/8ths are measured in 4.0. That's why I said, "Okay."
I don't want to start an arguement over nothing. Because even though where you guyts are 1/8ths are 3.5, I know for a FACT that 1/8ths are 4.0 here. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying he's wrong, but I'm not saying I am either. =)

1/8th refers to an eigth ounce which converts to 3.5 grams. Maybe you get 4.0, but thats more than 1/8th.

I don't believe buds are measured in TROY ounces...Originally Posted by LIP
read that, "A troy ounce (abbreviation: t oz) is equal to 480 grains. There are 12 troy ounces in a troy pound. Consequently, the international troy ounce is equal to about 31.103 476 grams."
this is what bud is measured in... just so people don't get mis-informed...
"An avoirdupois ounce is equal to 437.5 grains. There are 16 avoirdupois ounces in an avoirdupois pound. In 1958 the United States and countries of the Commonwealth of Nations defined the mass of the international avoirdupois pound to be 0.453 592 37 kilograms. Consequently, since the definition of the international avoirdupois pound in 1958, the international ounce is defined to be equal to about 28.349 523 grams."
so if we want to get down to it, 3.5 g's technically is not an eigth...

Well if anything i got the 2 mixed up, but there both there. Shows what smoking does to ya.
We round up to 28g a oz, therefore an 1/8 of a rounded oz is 3.5
