And I love when I have to call a call centre and I know if I am calling one in Canada or the US...the Canadians say thank you and your welcome, while a lot of the American ones just say uh-huh...not true for ALL Yanks, just for most of the ones I have encountered....

Actually, the East Coast of Canada, in Newfoundland and around Nova Scotia, the accents are very similair as Newfoundland has Scottish roots. We call them Newfies, and they sound very similair to the Scottish people. The accents just aren't as think as the Scotts, but you can clearly hear some Scottish in there. They're the Canadian Scotts!
