Yeah, I'd say he was a monster tard. Holding smoke in doesn't get you any higher, and neither does swallowing the smoke (which I hear is quite bad for your health). Although it will cause you to eventually burp up a bunch of smoke about 20 mins after you do it (I did it by accident a couple of times).

Well, I wouldn't label him "monster tard" for that. I've done it before and left me questioning if it really did make me higher. I don't really like the feeling so I normally don't. Here's a tip though, next time you're taking a bong rip or any instrument providing a fat rip, fill up the upper section of your chest (lungs) by expanding the top of your chest while inhaling, when it starts feeling like it's getting full, expand your belly! Don't swallow now, just expand your belly and see if you can throw any more smoke in there. Believe me, it does, mwhehe. You breathe with more than your lungs indeed! Your friend is on the right path, learning with experience. :thumbsup:

You know, I'm starting to wonder about this.
I keep hearing "don't hold your hits in, thc is absorbed almost instantly",
but thc isn't the only cannabinoid influencing the high. What about the other chemicals? What if they took longer to be absorbed by your lungs???
