    guitar ? again

hey i asked about this prob liek 2 months ago.. but im ready to start actually looking for a guitar. i wana get one w/in the next couple weeks. im buying an electric guitar

what kind is the easiest to learn on? i know they are all hard and take mad long to learn, but im guessing some might be a little easier to learn on than others. i wanna spend around 150. do they have any packages and deals where i can get an amp w/ the guitar? also does anyone know anything about slide guitars?? im interested in that too. im not 100% sure what kind of guitar i want. just not acoustic bc my friends got one of those.
    thanks

Put it this way. DO NOT GO BUYING EXPENSIVE ONES... no gibsons, no fenders.

Go for copys that are cheap, cos if you decide you dont wanna learn you havnt wasted thousands..

Strats, stagg [oh dear stagg suck balls] or something like epiphones.

    I got:

Gibson Thunderbird IV Bass, cost a bomb, well, £1.500
    Fender Standard Jazz Bass, £450
BC Rich Platinum Warlock Bass. Cant remember how much though.

Yeah they do packages of guitars and amps, just go to your local guitar shop see what you like the look of and see how it feels, you don't want anything big or heavy either, something you'll be comfortable chilling with when your stoned Oh and when someone says slide guitar it's just a normal guitar played with a slide bar, you can get one for around a fiver.

    Good luck

Slide guitars have flush frets not raised so the slide doesn't jump.

i have one, and i hate it

my first guitar was a epiphone, not american made. if you got the money, get one. but for a beginner, dont worry too much. gibson's have wider necks, kinda inbetween like a fender and an acoustic. but i love it.

They suck but I thought that was the point, lol.

My advice would be dont spend more then £150 on getting set up.

Just get a cheap guitar (not too cheap though), and a little 15W amp. That way you can progress with material as you progress with talent. That's what I did. Because if you suddenly don't want to play guitar, or find it not as fun as you thought it was, you didn't waste alot of money and you can pawn off the guitar and amp.

dont get a real shitty one cause you'll hate the sound and then quit cause it sounds like shit. get a cheap one but at least dick around with them at the guitar store and find one that sounds decent
