Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. My first two peices had metal bowls and when I recieved my glass one I was astonished at how much danker the herb tastes. On another not metal lets off harmful toxins that you inhale when you smoke out of it. When glass is heated no toxins are produced.:thumbsup:
