First time Grow room White Widow
Ok everyone I went out last night and picked up a decent digi cam at walmart so here is what my setup/plants really look like. Youll notice in one of the pics a seriously stretched out plant. It was started in my freinds window sill during veg then was donated to my room. Anyone know why its so damn tall? Im in about week 5 of flowering right now and yes getting very impatient how much longer do you think theyre gon be? Oh and to avoid any confusion, I had to change my username so you all know its the same guy. Any help or feedback is more than welcome I really want to get some good insight on my first grow so my second is 10x better. Thanks to everyone on this site for all the help!!

i dont get it your juicing a 1000watts and your plants are not responding to it well your pots seem more then enough room, i have to ask how far is your light from the very top of the tallest plant?
a good trick is place your hand palm down under the bulb and move your hand towards the bulb until your hand is comfortable under it as close as you can get it with buring now put your plants that close to the light cause if i didnt burn you it wont burn them.
what ratio is your flower nute? (10-15-10)
how do you test the soil for dryness?

Invision is right on with hand method to figure out how high the light should hang
I direct my fan to blow all the heat under the light away so it doesn't hit the plants. This allows me to keep the light close with the temps under 80

Hey, Mike. Looking good. I like your space. Looks like you got lots of room. That's awesome. 1000 watts is awesome too. Your plants look ok. You've gotten some pretty good advice from others here already like Invision and others. I'll keep up with ya.
Glad you got a new camera! Be patient. I know it's killing you but you are already so far along. Go buy a bag of some dankness and wait it out.
Be cool.

Thanks for all the replies you guys are a great help. Lemme go thru all the questions in the order of appearance. I just took a measurement and the light is 24 inches away from the tallest plant right now. I think youve helped me identify a big problem. The light needs to be closer. I put in a few more pics of my ventilation in the room. The temp seems to stay steady around 85 even with all that airflow I dont get it. I think I may need to put a fan in my intake to pump some fresh air in the room. As far as my flowering nutes LOL I dont know exactly. I burned them by overfeeding right off the bat ( typical rookie mistake) So Ive been using about 1/2 strength once a week of this starter kit called BC Boost, Grow, and Bloom. Theres some pics of that too.
As far as testing the soil for moisture I am going by how heavy the pot is when I check the plants, if its light I water if not I dont. Im actually headed out to my grow store now for a moisture reader. I hear theyre pretty cheap.
I also have my fan blowing right on my light and when I just did the hand test I found that I can have my light about 12-15 inches away instead of the 24 I was told before. I just cant figure out why its so damn hot in there 85-90 some days but my RH is right at 50-60% consistantly.
As for me changing my screen name two reasons. I created the other name with my old email on accident and couldnt change it and that screen name I use for alot of other stuff and the last thing I want is someone putting 2+2 together and figuring out who I am. Again thanks for all the help and encouragement with this and Let me know any other suggestions for getting the temp in my room down to a steady 75-80.
LOLOL oh and PassThatShit Please try to spell TheGreenFog's name right He seems to be getting quite annoyed and I would hate to lose his or your input due to a Forum fight. LOLOLOL Im just kidding you guys are the best!!! Oh and PassThatShit your grow is looking incredible!!

hi mike one of the causes for ther high temp will be your fan blowing on the bulb then despersing more heat around your space.try and get your exaust drawing the hot air away from the bulb and out of your box you should then see a drop in the temp. nice set up and watch those babys go in the last 2 weeks white widow puts most of her bud size on in the last few weeks nice set up . be safe the postamn
