Im taking a pre-employment test on Monday

I'm taking a pre-employment exam on Monday. If i pass then i will go on with the hiring process (interview, background check etc.) i was wondering if anybody knows if i will be taking a drug test that sameday. Or will i take it at a later date after my interview? Any response will help.

Chances are you wont take the drug test the same day. They have to set up the test with the lab (if they outsource).

You wont have to drug test until they offer you the job. Most offers are contingent upon sucessful drug test and background check.

It would be kinda expensive to drug test every canidate.

Thanks for your help.Calmed my nerves down. I quit smoking for a month then took a drug test for my current job when i got hired-on from a temp service and passed. Ive been smoking for the last 3 weeks and now i got a call from another employer. Ill be making almost double what im making now so th be on the safe side ill quit right now and use the dillution method on Monday even if i dont have to take the drug test

If you have been smoking for the last 3 weeks, you should stop and give yourself as much clean time as possible. They might not drug test you on Monday but what if Monday is the last day of interviews and they offer you a job on Tuesday and ask for a drug test? Play it smart until the test is over because every day clean you have increases your chance to pass.

pre employment drug screening usually occurs within 24 hours of conditiona lagreement for hire, in a more corporate type of company. in looser ones, or privatly owned, they can drag it on, and do it much later.

Yeah weed is know to stay in your system for up to 45 days if you have a slow metabolism so just to be sure i'd quit ASAP.
