Chavez - UN?
I get a kick out of Chavez. Sure he's a blowhard, but he holds a mirror up to our own hypocracy and he really is trying to help his people. When Pat Robertson is calling for his assassination he must be doing something right.

HERE IS A PIC OF A ANTI CHAVEZ RALLY....
we should have shot him...................
With respect to domestic policies, critics report that both corruption and crime are rampant.[132][133] They also cite a failing infrastructure and public hospitals.[93] Criticism from Chávez supporters arises from reports that Chávez is not fulfilling his major campaign pledges with respect to labor and land reform.[134][135][136]
Critics have also charged that the Chávez government has engaged in "gigantic fraud" during the 2004 recall referendum.[137] Human rights organizations Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have documented numerous human rights violations in Venezuela, although these have usually been reports of police misbehaviour and brutality rather than criticism of Chávez's policies.[138][139] The Venezuelan police have been criticised for human rights abuse for long before Chávez gained power. The United States government claims that his cooperation in the War on Terrorism is negligible or purposely indifferent with regards to the FARC and ELN;[140] nonetheless, the U.S. government says there is no evidence of a direct link between terrorism and Chávez.[141]
Several public figures have even gone so far as to call for the assassination of Chávez, most notably US Conservative Christian televangelist Pat Robertson.[142] Other such requests have been expressed by Venezuelan actor Orlando Urdaneta[43] and former president of Venezuela Carlos Andrés Pérez.[143] The US Ambassador to Venezuela between 2001 and 2004, Charles Shapiro, also reported to the Chávez administration two potential assassination plots.[43]
Chavez has been accussed of concentrating power of judicial and legislative branches

"At least WE allow him to speak! If we said those things in HIS country,we'd be in JAIL! Think about that! Hope that foot of yours was clean before ya put it in yer mouth!"
The U.N. allowed him to speak. 'We' tried to instigate a coup/assassination against him a while back through a third party. (hhmm, should I make a snappy comeback about a certain body part being in an orifice too? naaa...I'll let it go at that)

Applause after calling Bush 'the devil'
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez was the most bombastic, outstripping even Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad by branding Bush the devil. What surprised many listeners was not necessarily the remarks, which were typical for Chavez, but the applause and titters of laughter that he received in response.
??A few years ago that would have been heard in stony silence,? Council of Europe Secretary-General Terry Davis said. ??Not because people were afraid to show their agreement, but because they wouldn??t have agreed with it. If I was working for the American government, that??s what would worry me.?
