I agree, The Descent is one of the scariest movies about at that time. I saw it about a year or so ago on DVD and though it was amazing, so amazing I have watched it 4 times scince, to date. It's fu**in' ace when there in the cave and she (the acor) is on the video camera videoing them freaking out about what they "think" is going on, and she moves the camera slowly to the right and stood behing them is one of the monster's, literally, it's mouth was wide open and about 1 inch from the back of her head. Deffo one of my favorite bit's of the film

Its a class movie considering they are all unknown actors with an all woman cast (not in the sexist way by any means) and it's there first attemt at a big time release.

So in summery, The Descent is a cool and on the scary rating (10: being scary and 1: being "Bambi") I think it's wel worth an 8.5 and maybee more, depending on if your in the dark, at night, and it's the first time you have seen it.
