    1st timr grower need advice

    my seedlings are 1" tall now can i put them under my grow light now? 250w.
    really apreciate any help

    1st timr grower need advice

    They should be under a light from the moment they burst through the soil, at this stage in their life, hey should be getting as much light as possible, a 20 hour day usually works pretty well. Just make sure that you keep them watered, and at the same time don't over-water! 250w should be fine if you're only growing a couple-three plants, any more than that and you're going to have problems when they get older with lanky plants stretching to get whatever light they can.     don't put the light any closer than where it's comfortable to hold the back of your hand under the bulb for a minute or two...watch daily and adjust as needed and go slow with the light on your seedlings at first. adjust the light down over a few days to the spot you find where it's comfortable (but still warm). they like all the light but can't handle the intensity at first.
