Can you clone already flowering plants?

I've looked for the answer to this here but I cannot find it.

If you can clone a flowing plant, is it worth it? Or will it be just as good to leave that cola attatched to the plant from which it sprang up?

Yes, it is entirely possible to clone a flowering plant. However, it is a little harder to do so because you must switch your cuttings hormones from flowering and revert back to vegetative. Can I ask a question first? Is this one of your first times attempting to clone because if it is then I would not suggest trying to clone a flowering plant. It is just better to leave the bud on and let it flower. I would have at least a couple grows worth of basic cloning before I tried to clone from a plant in flower.

    thanks......

I think I will leave well enough alone since I am new to all of this for the most part. I've been lucky enough with how well they have done, I can't complain.

Maybe next year I'll try it.
