and was said to have been reaching speeds of up to 280mph as the accident

He was attempting to break the British Land Speed Record. . . .

hahah too true but they all bounced off each other an made the programme a success in my book anyways,,only car prog i watch as its fun to watch..that one of the stig racin from surrey to fife(where i am) an them lot makin that kit car was faf,,made me laugh for hrs,,,oh an cant forget topgear dog,,,,awwww cute or wat..
