Just throw away any seeds/stems its easy. As a general rule- the less the seeds, the better the weed. (seeds look like seeds, I dunno) If its green and leafy break it apart and smoke it.

OK I'm pretty new to cannabis, I've had a few joints and smoked it in a pipe (one of those ones for tobacco) and I've never really got very high.
