Cutting the top off

my friend had a plant growing in a field and it was cut down to about half of it's size, but it didn't die. What happened is it just bushed out and got a shit load of buds on it. Should I try this on an indoor grow since I don't have much room to work with, or was that plant just a fighter?

that is a method ppl use to grow indoors, its called topping

i would do alot of reading before going and cutting half of the plant off.. you only need to cut the growing tip..

also read about lst(low stress training). this is possibly more rewarding!

guess i was to vague but yes, just cut the tip. not half the plant
