Help me with a CO2 Question

    Hi,

The guy I get all my hydro supplies from told me this and a friend of mine uses it daily to spray on her plants (I will too when they get out of the seedling stage)--sodium free seltzer water sprayed on the leaves like a foliar spray. A very cheap, harmless way to give them some extra CO2. I have animals in my plant room so can't use anything that would raise the CO2 level to an unhealthy level (for non plant breathers) The only harm to the plant is burning the leaves if they are wet too close to the light. As far as spraying actual buds go I would be afraid to spray my buds with ANYTHING because of all the trapped moisture that could lead to some serious mold. I don't think buds dry out very fast because of all the dense plant material there do they?

Moral of the story get a container make a mini volcano in it in you growroom. Doing that once a day should do the trick!

Awesome dude! Thank you so much, I think I will probably do this 2-3 times a day in there, this is brilliant! Although I dont remember making volcanoes in science class =(. But still, genious!!!

the bicarbonate and vinegar sounds real good!, is there any way i can automate that!???lol

knew i should have studied more in science class, the only thing i could remember to use bi carb for was pH up! lol.
and i thought you americans called sweet fizzy drinks club soda
ha ha ha ,, would nt suprise me i have read of peoiple spraying there plants with coca cola!!! in here!

dont spray on the buds of a plant,, you will get mould guaranteed!!
happy growing, and have fun with the volcanos ,,,, i know i will!
    lol
ooh could you find out how big a volcano to make ?
dont want to suffocate with over generous amounts of carbon dioxide!

Help me with a CO2 Question

well ive done some research and found that 1 litre of vinegar and 100 grams of baking soda makes about 1 cubic feet (1ft x 1ft x 1ft) of CO2, and this makes a high concentration in your grow for up to two days. So, you can do a volcano once every two days and this will be enough to boost your plants growth in say a closet, but if your closet isnt completly sealed you might get away with doing it at sooner intervals.... wow that was fucked i need to find my bong hope i helped

Dude...that is totally cool. I'm suddenly finding myself actually liking Sponge Bob.

BTW...if anyone is interested, this is the video that they're tlaking about, and what he's using is carbonated water. No sugar in it. This is excellent for anyone wantiong to build a hydro set up who hasn't a clue how to do it. Such as yours truely.

    I Grow Chronic

These plants evolved being rained on, so I'm not quite sure why the buds getting wet should be such a worry. Though I would be worried about washing the THC away. Don't know if that's possible or not.
    Nature\'s first green is gold,
    Her hardest hue to hold.
    The early leaf\'s a flower;
    But only so an hour.
    Then leaf subsides to leaf.
    So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
    Nothing gold can stay.

mini tank cost 50, get a guage and a hose, 75 with equipment. just breathing about your plants will produce the same effect.

Help me with a CO2 Question

there is another anser to this co2 dilema!..
    a simple one, but effective.
increase the airflow of fresh air into the grow chamber, the amount of co2 in the atmosphere is sufficient for a very good grow! also i believe if you run your system at night, there is a naturally occouring higher level of co2 caused bty all the outside plants exhaling and producing c02, s opposed to oxygen! the nearer to the country side you are ,[ or a well planted patio or garden] the better but the principle is the same draw the freshly co2 enriched air of the patio and double the airflow to the room..
there was a system used where to rooms where ran at opposite times and the co2 enriched air was punped to the flowering room during lit hrs and reversed at night!Remember that plants create oxygen whilst in photosynthesis, and co2 whilst not!
a kilo of bicarbonate of soda seems to be an expensive alternative to co2 injection in the long run!
so i'd save my money and buy a co2 rig!
    happy growing.

welcome to the world of endless possibilities,,,,hydroponics!

Help me with a CO2 Question

Yes, very true. A litre of vinegar and 100 grams of baking soda every two days can be very expensive in the long run. So this is my current solution; I bought a 100 pack of tea candles (very small, about 1 to 2 inches across and not even an inch high) and a 9 candle holder, and I light 9 candles during sun light hours.
